Worship Services & Christian Worship Classes

Fall 2009 Schedule of Services
Spring 2010 Schedule of Services

High Point University’s Wednesday evening ecumenical worship services
averaged 222 in attendance for the twenty-seven services during the
2007-2008 academic terms. In addition, services for Family/Alumni
weekends, new student orientation, and Martin Luther King Day averaged
259 in attendance. Over 7,200 attendees supported the thirty-one services
run by a Board of Stewardscomposed entirely of   students. The primarily all-
student congregation collected over $8,100 in offerings. These offerings
provided toys and clothes for 118 needy children at Christmas through the
High Point Salvation Army and contributed over $2,800 to help re-establish
the media center at Eastern Guilford High School in High Point.

Both traditional day and non-traditional Evening Degree Program students
may register in sequence for three Christian Worship classes, Religion 119, 120,
and 121. Each gives one hour of academic credit for attendance at nine of the
services and writing a brief reflection paper. The Schedule of Services for
2008-2009 can be found in this publication.
